Big response from volunteers across state

WOW…what an incredible response I have had to plea for help along the Run Across North Dakota route! People have been amazing. They don’t even know me, but have opened their homes for me to stay in and/or have offered to drive my support vehicle along the way. It is such a blessing to see so many people willing to help out. Thank you, and you’ll never know how much of an answer to prayer you are!

I am still looking for some drivers for my support vehicle in these cities: Beach, Medora, Belfield, Dickinson, Glen Ulin, New Salem, Sanborn, Valley City, Buffalo and Mapleton. If you or someone you know can help, please contact me at wwmitzel@hotmail.com.

Training
This last week was my toughest week yet. It included two 30-mile runs. During the
5-plus hours it took to complete these runs, I had time to think about a lot of stuff, including where this journey has taken me already. If you would have told me a year and a half ago that I would complete two 30-mile runs ever, let alone in one week, I would have laughed out loud! It is amazing where God can bring you in a short period of time.

Have a good week, everyone!

  • Wow, Chris… you are such an inspiration! I so wish that I was closer to ND so I could help with a leg or two of the trek.

My wife and I work with OCC yearly at a collection center and are so incredibly blessed by the outpouring of the community to those that they do not know.

Additionally, my wife just recently became an Area Represenative for OCC so I’m sure that she (and we!) will be doing much more in the years to come.

I will place on my calendar to keep you bathed in prayers as you venture out. I will pray for good health and good weather!

Many blessings to you my brother in Christ.
